MAKE are currently working in partnership with Honey Mosaics on a new creative project, where we’ll be collaborating with the trio of emergency services based at the Blue Light Hub and three primary schools.
Working with over 600 young people, mosaic Artist Sarah Harper will create one large mosaic mural which will be displayed at the Blue Light Hub, which houses the Fire, Ambulance and Police.
This project will be featured as a case study in the toolkit of cultural diversity resources, currently being developed by MAKE. It will provide inspiration and guidance for schools wishing to engage with local artists.
“MAKE will work with me on some of the initial workshops and we will work together to evaluate the impact of this project throughout its duration. I am immensely grateful for this support and I hope that the legacy of this project will mean that more schools look to engage with artists, especially where children and young people are set to greatly benefit. I am also hopeful that this project will increase the possibility of more multi sector partnerships becoming a reality for artists in the near future.” Sarah Harper, Honey Mosaics
